Obituary for Carolyn A. Daniels

Carolyn A. Daniels
Carolyn Ann (Lynn) Daniels (10/13/1931-12/5/1017)

Lynn’s life was full of family and friends she loved and who loved her. She will be very much missed by her spouse of more than 38 year, Mary Margaret Hart, and their children: Sheila Nelson and her spouse, Kim Lloyd of Topsham, ME and Rachel Nelson of Brighton, MA. She also has one surviving sister, Barbara Farquharson, of East Haven, CT and many nieces and nephews and their families.

Lynn was born and raised in East Haven, CT and graduated from Arnold College in Milford, CT in 1952. She taught health and physical education and coached for 25 years, most of those years at the Morristown Beard School in Orange, NJ. Her students loved and admired her and many kept I touch. She was also honored by the school on several occasions. Lynn came to Penn State in 1976 and received a master’s degree focused on sport psychology in 1977. She worked for many years as a woodworker and also drove school bus for the State College Area School District, becoming an instructor for new drivers.

Lynn had many talents and interests. Besides woodworking, she was an avid gardener, birder, and reader – and she was a committed Lady Lion basketball fan. She opened her heart and home to many, many people and will be much missed by all of them.

All services will be private and at the convenience of the family. An online guestbook may be signed and condolences sent to the family at www.heintzelmanfuneralhome.com.
